Vishwak Sen, who recently had a big release with the adventure drama Gaami, is now gearing up for his next film Gangs of Godavari. On Saturday, the Gangs of Godavari makers shared a new solo poster of their film while officially announcing its release date. Gangs of Godavari is slated to release on May 17.

Earlier today, the film’s production house Sithara Entertainments took to their X page, posting, “Get ready to witness the Most rugged and violent tale from the banks of Godavari!” as they announced the release date.

The film stars Neha Sshetty in one of the lead roles, besides featuring actors like Anjali, Nasser and Goparaju Ramana in supporting roles. Gangs of Godavari is written and directed by lyricist turned filmmaker Krishna Chaitanya, who has previously directed the films Rowdy Fellow (2014) and Chal Mohan Ranga (2018).

The project is jointly bankrolled by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banner Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music composer of the film, while Navin Nooli is the editor.
