Kalki 2898 AD gets U/A certificate; run-time revealed

The film, directed by Nag Ashwin, stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan

Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 AD has received its certification from the Censor Board. The film, directed by Nag Ashwin, also stars Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in pivotal roles. The Telugu version of the film has been given a U/A certificate. The certificate, which is going viral on social media, states that the film’s run-time is 3 hours and 56 seconds.

The certificate also reveals that only few changes were done in the film.

In Kalki 2898 AD, Prabhas plays Bhairava, who is assigned a bounty of one million by Saswata Chatterjee’s character to capture Deepika Padukone’s Sumathi. During a recent promotional event for the film, Kamal Haasan said, "I thought I'm going to play the bad man so it's going to be fun. But then, he (Ashwin) wanted it to be different. I'm almost like a sage in the film with a bad idea."

Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies on a massive budget of Rs 600 crore, Kalki 2898 AD is India’s most expensive film to date.

The film is scheduled to release on June 27.
