The makers of the 2013 horror comedy film Prema Katha Chitram are re-releasing their film in theatres on June 21. The film starred Sudheer Babu, Praveen, and Nanditha Raj in prominent roles.

Produced by Maruthi Dasari and Sudarshan Reddy, Prema Katha Chitram tells the story of three friends who plan a group suicide because of failures in their own lives. However, before they execute their plan, the three friends end up sharing many more secrets about their lives and, inadvertently, end up making contact with a ghost, which changes the course of their lives and relationships with each other.

Despite being a small-budget film, Prema Katha Chitram emerged as one of the five most successful Telugu films of 2013.  The film was later remade in Kannada as Chandralekha with Chiranjeevi Sarja, and in Tamil as Darling with GV Prakash Kumar reprising Sudheer Babu’s role. Prema Katha Chitram is directed by cinematographer J Prabahakar Reddy and remains his only directorial venture.
