Vikranth Reddy and Chandini Chowdary will soon be seen headlining the movie Santhana Prapthirasthu. The makers of the film unveiled the first look on Tuesday, on the occasion of Vikranth’s birthday.

The first look features Vikranth as a bespectacled, mild-mannered man who has a lot on his plate, in a manner of speaking. He can be seen holding vegetables, a yoga mat, a medicine bottle and a how-to book about increasing sperm count. Santhana Prapthirasthu promises to be a light-hearted entertainer about a young married couple that also has an underlying social message. 

Sanjeev Reddy, who has earlier made the Allu Sirish-starrer ABCD and the web series Aha Naa Pellanta, is the co-writer and director of the film. Sanjeev is also one of the producers, sharing the producers’ credits with Madhura Sreedhar Reddy and Nirvi Hariprasad Reddy. The screenplay for Santhana Prapthirasthu is written by Sheikh Dawood, who has previously worked on films such as Venkatadri Express, Express Raja, and Ek Mini Katha.

On the technical front, Mahi Reddy is the cinematographer and Sivakumar Maccha is the production designer. Sunil Kashyap has been signed as the music director. The ensemble cast of Santhana Prapthirasthu comprises Vennela Kishore, Abhinav Gotam, Muralidhar Goud, Jeevan Kumar, Thagubothu Ramesh, and Rachcha Ravi. 

Chandini was last seen in the slice-of-life drama Music Shop Murthy, where she played a young and rebellious DJ.
