Prasanth Varma’s mythological superhero movie HanuMan, which emerged as a massive box office success in India earlier this year, is now gearing up for its release in Japan. The Teja Sajja-starrer will hit theatres in Japan on October 4.

Prashanth Varma shared the said update on his X page, posting, “From the Epic Tales of Indian Itihasas to the Enchanting Land of Japan. A heartfelt thank you to all our Indian audiences worldwide for making Hanu-Man a global sensation! We're thrilled to announce that the HanuMan Japanese subtitled version will be released on October 4th. We eagerly await the incredible response from our wonderful Japanese viewers!”

Produced by Primeshow Entertainment, HanuMan emerged to be a surprise hit, beating the likes of massive star vehicles like Guntur Kaaram, Saindhav and Naa Saami Ranga, which released on the same weekend.

It is to be noted that RRR, SS Rajamouli’s period action-drama too, had a release in Japan in late 2022, enjoying a great reception and eventually becoming the highest-grossing Indian film in the market.
