The makers of Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD have shared the 'Hope of Shambala' video song from the film. The song is sung by actor Shobana while the lyrics are by “Saraswati Putra" Ramajogayya Sastry.

Set in the city of Shambala where rebels opposing the complex and their employees reside, the song is sung when Deepika Padukone is welcomed to the city.

Kalki 2898 AD, the epic science fiction film directed by Nag Ashwin, stars Prabhas in the lead role as Bhairava, Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwatthama, Kamal Haasan as Supreme Yaskin, Deepika Padukone as SUM-80 alias Sumathi, Disha Patani as Roxie, Saswata Chatterjee as Commander Manas, Shobhana as Mariam, the leader of Shambhala, Brahmanandam as Rajan, Pasupathy as Veeran, Dulquer Salmaan as Captain and Anna Ben as Kyra, among others.

Upon release on June 27, the film garnered mixed reviews from fans and critics.

The film has music composed by Santhosh Narayanan, cinematography handled by Serbian cinematographer Djordje Stojiljkovic and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.
