The makers of Dear Uma released their new single titled 'Nee Guruthulo’ on Wednesday. Dear Uma, which stars Pruthvi Ambaar and Sumaya Reddy, has been a long time in the making.

Composed by Radhan, 'Nee Guruthulo’ is a classic rock ballad, capturing the angst of a failed relationship. Sarath Santosh is the playback singer for the number, while lyrics are penned by Krishna Kanth. The 'Nee Guruthulo’ music video, choreographed by Shirish Kumar, features Pruthvi intensely performing the song at a concert. Prudhvi plays an aspiring musician in the film, whose life takes a dramatic turn when he meets a young, kind-hearted woman (played by Sumaya), and ends up entering a tumultuous relationship with her.

Besides being the film’s female lead, Sumaya is also producing the movie under her banner Suma Chitra Arts. Dear Uma is directed by Sai Rajesh Mahadav who has also penned the screenplay and dialogues for the film. The film’s ensemble cast includes actors like Kamal Kamaraju, Sapthagiri, Ajay Ghosh, Amani, Rajeev Kanakala, Prudhvi Raj, and Rupa Lakshmi. Satya  Giduturi is the editor for the film, while Raj Thota is the cinematographer.

The Dear Uma teaser was unveiled on February 14 this year. The makers of the film are yet to announce a release date.
