Prasanth Varma announces pre-production of Jai Hanuman 

Jai Hanuman is a sequel of his latest blockbuster Hanu Man

The writer-director of Hanu Man, Prasanth Varma, has announced that he will be beginning pre-production of his film’s sequel Jai Hanuman on Monday. The makers of the film decided to go ahead with the date to commemorate the Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha in Ayodhya. The title of the film, Jai Hanuman, was dropped at the end of Hanu Man, as a cliffhanger of sorts. Sharing this announcement on social media, Prasanth writes, “With gratitude for the immense love and support showered upon Hanu Man from audiences across the globe, I stand at the threshold of a new journey by making a promise to myself! Jai Hanuman Pre-Production Begins on the auspicious day of Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha.”

Hanu Man and Jai Hanuman are a part of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU), a mythical superhero franchise developed by the director. Hanu Man, a superhero origin story of how Hanumanthudu (played by Teja Sajja), an ordinary boy from the fictitious island of Anjanadri turns into a superhero Hanu Man, after he gets into contact with a magical pearl formed from the blood of the Hanuman deity. Hanu Man, which hit theatres on January 12, has had a successful run in the box office, minting close to ₹ 200 crore gross in the box office. 

In addition to Hanu Man and Jai Hanuman, Prasanth Varma has also announced Adhira, another superhero film set to be a part of PVCU. Adhira will star debut actor Kalyan Dasari in the lead role. Kalyan Dasari is the son of producer DVV Danayya, who runs the production house DVV Entertainments. The banner has produced RRR and is also bankrolling the upcoming Pawan Kalyan starrer OG
