Actor Abhinav Gomatam, mostly known for his performances in Telugu cinema as the hero's best friend, will be starring next in Masthu Shades Unnay Ra as a lead actor. To the uninitiated, Masthu Shades Unnay Ra is a line from  Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi (2018), the film that shot Abhinav Gomatam to fame. The line in itself, uttered by Abhinav's character Kaushik, has subsequently turned into a popular catchphrase among netizens. Abhinav was seen last year in the Disney + Hotstar Original series Save The Tigers, alongside Priyadarshi Pulikonda and  Chaitanya Krishna. 

Masthu Shades Unnay Ra features Vaishali Raj as its female lead. Ali Reza, Nizhalgal Ravi, Tharun Bhascker, Ravinder Reddy, Lavanya Reddy, Swetha Awasthi and Phani Chandrasekhar, among others, star in supporting roles. The film is written by Anwar Sadiq and Radha Mohan Gunti and directed by Thirupathi Rao. Aarem Reddy, Prashanth V and Bhavani Kasula have produced the film. Sanjeev T is the music director of the film, with cinematography by Siddharta Swayambhoo editing by Raviteja Girijala and production design by Saravanan Vasanth.
