As Guntur Kaaram is inching closer to its Sankranthi release date, the makers of the film announced on Thursday that they have wrapped censor formalities for the same. The film is cleared with a U/A certificate. 

Guntur Kaaram stars Mahesh Babu in the lead role. The film reunites him with director Trivikram for the third time. The duo has previously worked together in Athadu and Khaleja. Mahesh Babu was last seen in Sarkaru Vaari Paata. He is also gearing up for the yet-to-be-titled SSMB29, which is directed by SS Rajamouli. SSMB29 is currently in pre-production. 

Guntur Kaaram also stars Sreeleela and Meenakshi Chaudhary. The film is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Trivikram’s wife Sai Soujanya under the banner Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. Thaman is the music director of the film, with cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa, editing by Navin Nooli and production design by AS Prakash. The film is hitting theatres on January 12.

Telugu films releasing this Sankranti season include Venkatesh’s Saindhav, Teja Sajja’s Hanu Man, Nagarjuna’s Naa Saami Ranga and Ravi Teja's Eagle.
