Hari Hara Veera Mallu, the upcoming Pawan Kalyan-starrer period drama, was announced with a lot of buzz in January 2020. However, with Pawan Kalyan getting busy with his political commitments, the makers of the film had to delay the production a few times. Now, producer AM Ratnam has opened up on the other reasons for production delays while also expressing a desire to make a second part of the period drama.

Speaking at a public event, Ratnam stated, “We have lined up a few more scenes in Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which even Pawan Kalyan has not seen yet. He is busy with the elections. Now he is a power star; after this film, he will become a total-India star.” Further talking about their ambitious project, Ratnam added, “Anyone can make a movie with a profit motive, but we are attempting a film that is set in the 17th century.”

Reacting to the reports of the film being shelved or delayed, Ratnam stated, “The graphics work is being executed as we speak, at various locations like Iran, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. In fact, we will go on to make Hari Hara Veera Mallu Part 2 as well.”

Hari Hara Veera Mallu stars Niddhi Agerwal as the female lead. Animal actor Bobby Deol, too, is slated to play a significant part in the film. The film is directed by Krish Jagarlamundi.
