Razakar, the upcoming political movie which was initially scheduled to release on March 1, has now been pushed to March 15. On Saturday, the makers shared an update about the film's release, citing the VFX work delay as the reason for the postponement.

The key cast members of Razakar include Vedhika, Anasuya, Raj Arjun, Bobby Simha and Makarand Deshpande. The film is produced by Gudur Narayan Reddy under the Samarveer Creations banner. Yata Satyanarayana, who has written and directed Razakar, made his debut 6 years ago with the 2018 film Swarna Khadgam.

The film revolves around the Hyderabad Liberation Movement of 1948, aiming to capture the untold story of the struggles of Andhra Pradesh and its people in the early days of Independence to reclaim their religion and identity in the face of military and political oppression.

Besides Telugu, Razakar will have a release in 5 other languages - Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
