Double Ismart, the sequel of Ismart Shankar (2019), will now be hitting theatres on June 14. The makers of the film made the announcement on Friday. When the film went on floors last year, the makers of the film announced March 8 as their release date.

Starring Ram Pothineni, who will be reprising the role he played in Ismart Shankar, Double Ismart is written and directed by Puri Jagannadh. The film is produced by Puri and Charmme Kaur under the banner Puri Connects. Double Ismart also stars Sanjay Dutt. Puri’s frequent collaborator Mani Sharma has been roped in to compose the film’s music. Gianni Ginelli is the cinematographer of the film, though there have been speculations on how Shyam K Naidu has replaced him lately. Junaid Siddiqui is the editor of the film, with action choreography by Kecha Khamphakdee.

Ram Pothineni was seen last year in the Boyapati Sreenu directorial Skanda, which opened to negative reviews and a dismal theatrical run. After Puri’s last film Liger, starring Vijay Devarakonda, faced a similar fate, he had to shelve a patriotic action entertainer titled Jana Gana Mana, following which he started work on Double Ismart.
