Family Star, the upcoming Telugu film starring Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role, will hit the theatres on April 5. The makers announced the same on their social media handles with a new poster. Written and directed by Parasuram Petla, the film stars Mrunal Thakur as the female lead. 

The new poster features Vijay Deverakonda running while dressed in a lungi, carrying a gunny bag on his shoulder, and holding an Aadhar card in his mouth.

It is to be noted Family Star marks Vijay's second collaboration with Parsuram Petla, following Geetha Govindam (2018). Parsuram's last film was the Mahesh Babu-Keerthy Suresh starrer Sarkaru Vaari Paata, which came out in 2022. 

Family Star is produced by veteran producer duo Dil Raju & Sirish under the banner Sree Venkateswara Creations. Joining the film is Parsuram's Geetha Govindam music director Gopi Sundar. KU Mohanan is the film's cinematographer, with editing by Marthand K Venkatesh and production design by AS Prakash.
