Mahesh Babu, who last headlined the Guntur Kaaram, is working with RRR director SS Rajamouli for his next project. The collaboration between the two stalwarts, tentatively titled SSMB29, is being planned as a two-film project. Reportedly, the makers have now roped in Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran for the project.

While the makers are yet to confirm the news, it is being reported that Priyanka has been signed as the female lead, and Prithviraj will play the antagonist. SSMB29, which is billed as an action adventure film set against the backdrop of Amazon rainforests, also has MM Keeravani onboard as the composer, and ps Vinod as the cinematographer. There were reports earlier this month that the project will be officially launched in January 2025.

It is to be noted the The Goat Life actor played an antagonist earlier this year in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which marked his return to Bollywood after the 2012 film Aiyyaa. Priyanka Chopra, meanwhile, was last seen in the web series Citadel. Her last Indian film project was the 2019 film The Sky Is Pink where she shared screen with Farhan Akhtar, among others.
