T-Series Telugu, the music label behind Pushpa 2: The Rule, recently unveiled a previously unreleased track titled ‘Dammunte Pattukora’. The song, created from Allu Arjun's fiery rhyme delivered to Fahadh Faasil's character before the film's interval, highlights a tense confrontation between Pushpa Raj (Allu Arjun) and police officer Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat (Fahadh Faasil).

With bold lyrics like ‘Dammunte pattukora Shekhawat (If you have the guts, catch me, Shekhawat!)’ and ‘Pattukonte vodilestha syndicate (If you catch me, I’ll leave the syndicate),’ the song captures Pushpa’s defiance in the confrontation with the antagonist. However, its sudden removal from the T-Series platform just hours after its release left many speculations. Many wonder if the decision was influenced by the ongoing controversy surrounding the Sandhya Theatre tragedy.

On December 4, during Pushpa 2’s premiere at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre, a stampede occurred due to overcrowding, leading to the death of Revathi, a mother, from asphyxiation. Her son, Sri Tej, suffered severe brain injuries and is currently hospitalised. Telangana police allege the chaos was triggered by Allu Arjun’s unannounced appearance, which led to his brief arrest. The incident has sparked outrage, with government officials criticising the actor’s actions.

In the aftermath, the Telugu film industry has sought to mend ties with the Telangana government. Prominent figures recently met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to discuss fostering a ‘healthy relationship’ between the industry and the state.

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule stars Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, along with an ensemble cast. The sequel to the blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise hit screens on December 5 and has already earned over Rs 1,700 crores worldwide, becoming one of India’s highest-grossing films.
