Venkatesh, who was last seen in the action-drama Saindhav, is gearing up for his next release with Sankranthiki Vasthunam. The film incidentally is slated for Sankranti release, scheduled to hit theatres on January 14. On Tuesday, the makers announced the release date for their second single.
Titled ‘Meenu,’ the song will be officially unveiled on Thursday, December 19. Penned by Anantha Sriram, ‘Meenu’ is billed as a love song and will promisingly feature Venkatesh and Meenaakshi Chaudhary in the song video. Bheems Ceciroleo is the music composer for the upcoming comedy.
‘Godari Gattu,’ the first single from the film which was released two weeks ago, has emerged as a very popular number with film-goers, garnering over 27 million hits on YouTube. The playful love song featured Aishwarya Rajesh along with Venkatesh.
Sankranthiki Vasthunam is directed by Anil Ravipudi, and produced by Shirish under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. Dil Raju, meanwhile, is on board as the presenter. The film's supporting cast includes actors like Upendra Limaye, Sai Kumar, Naresh, VT Ganesh, Prithviraj, Srinivas Avasarala, Muralidhar Goud, and Pammi Sai.
The Venkatesh starrer will clash at the box office during the Sankranti long weekend against other star-studded vehicles like Game Changer, Daaku Maharaaj and Vishwambhara.
