Mythri Movie Makers, that bankrolled the latest blockbuster Pushpa 2: The Rule, is coming up with another action entertainer Robinhood, starring Nithiin and Sreeleela. The film was slated to hit theatres on December 25. However, on Tuesday, the makers announced their decision to postpone their film’s release.

Taking to their X page, the production banner posted, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Robinhood will not be releasing on December 25th.” The makers also informed that a new release date will be officially announced soon.

Robinhood is directed by Venky Kudumula, who has previously directed Chalo (2018) and Bheeshma (2020). The film’s teaser, which was released in November, promises for the film to be a crime comedy with Nithiin playing a nation-loving vigilante. The film also stars Rajendra Prasad, Shine Tom Chacko, Vennela Kishore, and Mime Gopi among others.

GV Prakash Kumar is the music director for the film. The film’s first single, ‘One More Time', has garnered nearly seven million YouTube hits since its launch two weeks ago. Recently, the makers also announced that Ketika Sharma was roped in for a guest appearance for one of its song sequences.

Nithiin and Sreeleela previously worked together in the 2023 film Extraordinary Man.
