Vishwak Sen, who has had three releases in 2023 in the form of Gaami, Gangs of Godavari, and Mechanic Rocky, is working in a wacky comedy entertainer titled Laila among his upcoming projects. On Monday, the makers confirmed February 14, 2025 as the release date for their film. 

The official title was announced earlier in March, and the first look of Laila, featuring Vishwak Sen in a feminine avatar, was unveiled in July. Laila, bankrolled under the banner of Shine Screens, is directed by Ram Narayan who made his debut with the 2021 film Battala Ramaswami Biopikku. While Akanksha Sharma plays the female lead, details about other cast members are yet to be officially announced. Akanksha’s previous film was the 2022 release Trivikrama. 

Tanishk Bagchi and Ghibran Vaibodha have been roped in to compose music for the film. The cinematography will be helmed by Richard Prasad.

Vishwak Sen’s upcoming films include Funky, which was officially launched last week.
