During October, we reported that Shruti Haasan exited from Adivi Sesh starrer Dacoit over creative differences with actor Adivi Sesh. The news is official. The makers of Adivi Sesh starrer Dacoit unveiled a mysterious poster of Sesh with the new leading lady from the film. Makers announced that the name of the actor will be revealed on December 17.

Sesh took to social media, released the poster and wrote, "Thanani kaapaadina, kaani odilesinaadi, thanu ento, asalevaro repu thelusthundi (I saved her, but she left. Who and what is she will be revealed tomorrow)." The write up added intrigue about the film.

Dacoit marks the debut of director turned cinematographer Shaneil Deo, who cranked the camera for previous Adivi Sesh’s projects such as Kshanam (2016) and Goodachari (2018).

The makers of Dacoit unveiled the film’s teaser in December 2023, and since then, the film has caught the attention of audiences. The teaser gave a glimpse into a turbulent love story based in a heated political setup where Shruti Haasan and Adivi Sesh engage in a love-hate relationship. The heated love story is bankrolled by Supriya Yarlagadda under the Annapurna Studios banner.

Adivi Sesh was last seen in the 2022 release, Major. Sesh also has Goodachari 2 in the pipeline.
