Allu Arjun who has been taken into custody by the Chikkadpally Police has been presented at the Telangana High Court. On Friday, the court granted interim bail to the Pushpa actor after he filed a quash petition. 

Allu Arjun was arrested due to the stampede incident that occured during Pushpa 2’s premiere at Sandhya theatre, Hyderabad on December 4. A case was registered against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management based on a complaint from the deceased’s family. At Sandhya theatre, the chaos claimed the life of 35-year-old Revathi and left her 9 year old son, Tej, critically injured. Authorities say that the unannounced arrival of star Allu Arjun with the team and the negligence in implementing adequate security measures by the theatre led to the tragedy.

Many industry figures have been supporting Allu Arjun on the incident. The actor and his team are yet to respond on the matter.
