Rashmika Mandanna, who is currently basking in the success of her latest film Pushpa 2: The Rule, will soon be seen headlining the Rahul Ravindran directorial The Girlfriend. Vijay Deverakonda unveiled the film’s official teaser online on Monday.

The Girlfriend teaser is centred on its female protagonist (Rashmika), capturing her multi-faceted character through a series of brief glimpses. The teaser is also interestingly laced with a voiceover, seemingly her lover, who talks about the protagonist, her insecurities, her strengths, and his own relationship with her. Vijay Deverakonda has delivered the voice-over.

Dheekshith Shetty plays the male lead. Veteran actors like Rao Ramesh and Rohini are part of the supporting cast. Rahul Ravindran too can be seen in the film’s teaser. Allu Aravind is presenting the film, while Dheeraj Mogilineni and Vidya Koppineedi are the producers.

Hesham Abdul Wahab, most popular for his soundtrack for Hi Nanna, is the music composer for The Girlfriend. On the technical front, Krishnan Vasant and Chota K Prasad are the cinematographer and editor, respectively. 

Rahul Ravindran has previously made films like Chi La Sow and Manmudhudu 2. As an actor, He recently appeared in a pivotal role in the Alia Bhatt starrer Jigra.
