After registering a record-breaking figure at the boxoffice on day 1, Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule witnessed a considerable drop in its collections on Friday.

According to a report by Sacnilk.com, the film collected approximately 90 cr nett on day 2 at the domestic boxoffice, as opposed to a whopping 164 cr nett on day 1. Out of these, 55 cr come from Hindi language version, while the Telugu version garnered 27 cr. Among the north Indian release centres, the cities of Pune and Mumbai have held up the best in terms of occupancy, registering 61 % and 60 % respectively.

While the decline in Telugu belt is relatively usual, considering the trend of opening day frenzy for big-ticket movies, the drop in collections for its Hindi version release raises questions about film’s word-of-mouth reports and performance in the north Indian belt in the coming few days.

Meanwhile, Pushpa 2: The Rule crossed the 400 crore figure at worldwide boxoffice, according to the same report.
