Producer and close associate of Allu Arjun, Sarath Chandra Naidu, also known as Bunny Vasu, responded to the news of the stampede incident at Sandhya theatre on December 4, the premiere date of Pushpa 2. The unfortunate incident resulted in the death of a mother, Revati (39). The deceased woman’s son, Teja (9) is in critical condition, and several others are injured. The producer said, “The incident that occurred yesterday at Sandhya theatre is truly unfortunate. The boy is currently receiving treatment in the hospital. Our team will personally visit the family and provide the necessary support. We are committed to addressing this matter.”

The arrival of Allu Arjun at the venue, who had come to greet his fans, ended up causing a frenzy, leading the fans to erupt in enthusiasm, as they ended up breaking the barricades and pushing into the theatre gates to meet their favourite star.

Meanwhile, police proceeded to close the gates to avoid further damage, eventually calling in additional reinforcements for crowd control, and did a lathi charge on the attendees. In the stampede that ensued, the woman, named Revathy, died while her son Sri Tej fell unconscious.

Officials are yet to reveal more. Stay tuned for updates on the issue.
