Kalki 2898 AD, the Prabhas starrer sci-fi actioner, had a special screening at the recently held Moscow International Film Week. The event was attended by the film’s producers, Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt. On the occasion, the producer duo shared an update on the shoot for the much-awaited sequel.

As per a News18 report, Priyanka Dutt stated at the event, “The filming will start in the next five or six months, likely in January or February 2025. Once production begins, we’ll have more details to share.” Meanwhile, Ashwini Dutt said, “This time around, there’s a lot more excitement than nervousness. We’re going into this with better planning. Now that we’ve seen the results and the audience’s reaction, we’re approaching part two with a whole new energy."

Besides Prabhas, the Nag Ashwin directorial features a star-studded cast including Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone in prominent roles, and Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in special appearances. 

Among other Indian films that were screened at the event were SS Rajamouli’s RRR and Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies.
