Ritesh Rana wrote and directed the wildly popular new-age dark comedy Mathu Vadalara (2019). The makers on Monday announced the highly awaited sequel for the film titled Mathu Vadalara 2. The film is said to be doubly crazy, with bigger stakes and louder laughs. The team on Tuesday put out a first look poster of Faria Abdullah, who is set to play Nidhi, a senior agent in the film. The poster shows Faria in action mode, holding a gun with an intense gaze. 

Mathu Vadalara 2 is also set to star Sri Simha, Satya, Vennela Kishore and more. The film is backed by Chiranjeevi (Cherry) and Hemalatha Pedamallu under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers. In the first look of Sri Simha and Satya, they have hinted that the film is a crime-thriller with a ‘He Team Investigative Agency’ setting. Cinephiles are excited for the film, as the predecessor attained cult status for its dark humour and new-age storytelling. 

Mathu Vadalara 2’s technical crew includes Suresh Sarangam as cinematographer, Karthika Srinivas as editor, and Kaala Bhairava as music composer. The film is set ablaze the screens on September 13, clashing with Arjun Sai's directorial Utsavam and Naveen Medaram’s presentation, HideNSeek.
