Nagarjuna's Mass to re-release on this date

The actor’s 1989 classic Siva, too, is slated for a re-release this month

Nagarjuna's 2004 film Mass will soon have a theatrical release. The film, which also starred Jyothika, Charmme Kaur and Rahul Dev in prominent roles, will hit theatres again on August 28, on the occasion of Nagarjuna's birthday.

The film was produced under the banner of Nagarjuna's home production, Annapurna Studios. The banner shared the news on their official X page, posting, “Mass 4K returns on August 28th on the occasion of King Nagarjuna’s birthday. Brace yourselves to experience our KING Akkineni Nagarjuna in his most electrifying mass avatar, on the big screen.”

The action entertainer was directed by choreographer-turned-filmmaker Raghav Lawrence. The film, which released on December 23, 2004 emerged as the biggest hit of Nagarjuna's career. Mass also achieved great popularity with its Hindi dub version, titled Meri Jung - One Man Army, on satellite television.

Mass is not the only Nagarjuna film re-releasing this month—Ram Gopal Varma's 1989 cult classic Siva too is slated for a theatrical release on August 29.
