For the past few days, rumours of Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala getting engaged had been doing the rounds. On Thursday afternoon, Naga Chaitanya’s father Nagarjuna officially shared the news on his social media page.

Taking to his X Page, Nagarjuna penned a note, informing that Chaitanya and Sobhita got engaged in the early hours of Thurday. Sharing a couple of pictures from the ceremony, the actor posted, “We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9.42.” The Naa Saami Ranga actor added that they are "overjoyed to welcome" Sobhita into their family. 

The rumours of Chaitanya and Sobhita dating each other began in 2022. Chaitanya was previously married to actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The two announced their separation in October 2021.

On the professional front, Naga Chaitanya is gearing up for his next release Thandel, where he will be seen sharing the screen with his Love Story co-star Sai Pallavi. Sobhita Dhulipala, meanwhile, was last seen in Dev Patel starrer Monkey Man.
