The theatrical trailer for Double iSmart, the upcoming collaboration of Puri Jagannadh and Ram Pothineni and the sequel to iSmart Shankar (2019), dropped on Sunday. The trailer showcases Ram Pothineni as iSmart Shankar, a street-smart Hyderabadi thug who again stumbles upon memory transfer from the first part, but this time against Bigg Bull played by Sanjay Dutt. 

Double iSmart features Kavya Thapar as the female lead, and Sanjay Dutt plays the antagonist. The film also features Ali, Sayaji Shinde, Makrand Deshpande, Getup Srinu, and Gurbani. Gianni Gianneli and Shyam K Naidu handle the cinematography, while Karthika Srinivas R is the editor. Mani Sharma is the music composer for the film. This marks Mani Sharma and Puri Jagannadh’s sixth collaboration, with previously successful albums like Pokiri (2006), Chirutha (2007), and Ek Niranjan (2009).

Double iSmart will be released by Primeshow Entertainment, as the production banner grabbed worldwide theatrical rights for the film. Besides Telugu, Primeshow Entertainment will release the film in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. Under the banner Puri Connects, director Puri Jagannadh co-produces the film with actress-producer Charmme Kaur. The film arrives on August 15, clashing with Harish Shankar's Ravi Teja-starrer Mr. Bachchan.
