The makers of the much-anticipated Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD have officially set a release date for their film. The Nag Ashwin directorial is now scheduled to be released in theatres on June 27.
Kalki 2898 AD is produced by Chalasani Aswini Dutt, Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt under the banner Vyjayanthi Movies. The production banner posted on their official X page, βAll the forces come together for a better tomorrow on ππ-ππ-ππππ.β Kalki 2898 AD is reportedly a science-fiction movie that blends the genres of mythology and time-travel to create a massive spectacle.
Besides Prabhas, the film stars Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan in prominent roles. Additionally, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani will reportedly be seen in important roles as well. Kalki 2898 AD, earlier titled Project K, has been a long time in the making. The filmβs release date has been pushed multiple times in the last couple of months.
Last week, the makers released a character teaser for Amitabh Bachchan, who plays the popular mythological figure Ashwatthama in the film.
