Getup Srinu, who was last seen in Venkatesh starrer Saindhav, is gearing up for his next film, Raju Yadav, where he plays the lead role. On Wednesday, the makers of Raju Yadav announced May 17 as the release date for the film.

Raju Yadav is written and directed by first-timer Krishnamachary, and is based on a true story. Ankita Kharat plays the female lead. The film also stars Ananda Chakrapani, Rocket Raghava, Mirchi Hemanth, Jabardasth Sunny, Santosh Kalwacherla, Sriram, Kalyan Bhushan, Sree Mani, Pawon Ramesh, and Uthara Prashanth, among others.

Harshvardhan Rameshwar is the music director for Raju Yadav. The makers released their first single, ‘Raju Yadav Chudu', in November last year. Sai Ram Uday is the cinematographer of the film, with editing by Bonthala Nageshwara Reddy and production design by Sri Nagendra Tangela.

Produced by K. Prashant Reddy and Rajesh Kallepalli together under the banners of Sai Varunavi Creations and Charisma Dreams Entertainment, Raju Yadav will clash at the box office with the Vishwak Sen-starrer Gangs of Godavari. It is also reported that eminent producer Bunny Vas has bought the distribution rights for the film for its release in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
