Renowned dialogue writer Sree Ramakrishna passed away in Chennai on April 1. 

Ramakrishna, who was born in Tenali and moved to Chennai to work on films, achieved recognition with his dialogues for Telugu dubbed versions of many popular Tamil films. Most Notably, Ramakrishna penned dialogues for many films by Mani Ratnam and Shankar, including films like Bombay (1995) and Aparichitudu (2005), for their Telugu release. 

Some of his other popular works include Telugu dialogues for Chandramukhi (2005), Minsara Kanuvu (1997), and Mudhalvan (1999). Ramakrishna’s last prominent work was for Rajinikanth starrer Darbar. Overall, he penned Telugu dialogues for more than 200 films.

Ramakrishna was 74 years old at the time of his demise. He is survived by his wife Swati and son Gautam.
