We had previously reported that Prabhas starrer Salaar got a new release date and that it will now be releasing on December 22. Sources close to the film have informed Cinema Express that the official trailer of Salaar will be releasing on Prabhas' birthday i.e. October 23.

Salaar also stars Shruti Hassan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sriya Reddy, Jagapathu Babu, Garuda Ram, Easwari Rao and Tinnu Anand, among others. Salaar is written and directed by Prashanth Neel. It may be noted that Salaar might be a part of the KGF narrative universe. The KGF duology, headlined by Yash, came out in 2018 and 2022 respectively. Salaar was originally scheduled to hit theatres on September 28. The film's teaser came out a few months ago, on July 6. 

Salaar is produced by Vijay Karangadur under the banner Hombale films. Ravi Basrur is the music composer of the film, with cinematography by Bhuvan Gowda, editing by Ujwal Kulkarni and production design by Shivakumar and Venkatachalapathi. Salaar will also be releasing in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi, in addition to Kannada and Telugu. Salaar will now be releasing on the same date as the Shah Rukh Khan-Rajkumar Hirani film Dunki.
