Geethanjali Malli Vachindhi, the sequel of the Anjali starrer Geethanjali begins its shoot on Saturday. The makers made this announcement with a muhurtham pooja. Anjali will be reprising her role in the sequel of this horror comedy.

It may be noted that Geethanjali Malli Vachindhi is Anjali's 50th film. Along with photos from the film's pooja, the makers have also released a poster of the sequel. The first look poster features a girl sitting in the courtyard of an old bungalow. The film also stars seasoned character actors Srinivas Reddy, Satyam Rajesh, Satya, Shakalaka Shankar, Ali, Brahmaji, Ravi Shankar and Rahul Madhav in supporting roles. 

Geethanjali Malli Vachindhi is directed by debutant Shiva Turlapati, while it is produced by writer Kona Venkat under the banner Kona Films Corporation, in association with MVV Cinemas. Kona Venkat has also penned the story of the film, along with Bhanu Boggagarapu. In addition to writing the screenplay, Bhanu has also written the film's lyrics, along with Nandu Savarigana. Pravin Lakkaraju is the music composer of the film.  Suhatha Siddhartha is handling the cinematography of the film, with editing by Chota K Prasad and production design by Narni Srinivas.
