Hanu Raghavapudi, who is known for directing romantic films, has taken to social media on Wednesday to pen some words of appreciation on Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty.

The director writes on X (formerly Twitter), "Watched Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty and this man Naveen Polishetty has nailed it one more time with his phenomenal comic timing and performance. Loved the graceful performance from Miss Anushka Shetty garu. Nicely done my brother Mahesh. Congratulations to the whole team on the blockbuster run at the cinemas!"

MSMP released on September 7 to positive reviews and decent collections, which were spurred on by word of mouth. In addition to Naveen and Anushka, the film also stars Murali Sharma, Thulasi, Jayasudha and Abhinav Gomatam in supporting roles.

The film has Naveen playing a stand-up comic from Hyderabad and Anushka, a chef based in London. She meets Naveen accidentally when she is on the search for a sperm donor and pursues him for the same. Things complicate when they began to develop feelings for each other. Vamsi and Pramod of UV Creations have produced the film, while Radhan has composed the film's music. Nirav Shah is the cinematographer of the film, with editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao and production design by Rajeevan Nambiar.
