The official trailer of Peddha Kapu-1, Srikanth Addala's upcoming film has been unveiled on Monday morning. The film is scheduled to release on September 29.
The film stars newcomers Virat Karrna and Pragathi Shrivastava in the lead roles, with Rao Ramesh, Tanikella Bharani, Eswari Rao, Anasuya, Naren and Naga Babu playing supporting roles. Srikanth Addala, incidentally, is also seen in the trailer, playing a negative role.
Set in 20th century Andhra, the film's trailer, painted in saturated tones of brown and yellow, depicts a village riddled by caste based oppression. Virat Karrna is seen as the common man who rises to the occasion and turns into a saviour. If the trailer is any indication, the film is going to be filled with violence and tense drama. Peter Hein is the film's action choreographer.
Peddha Kapu-1 is produced by Miriyala Satyanarayana Reddy under the banner Dwaraka Creations. It may be noted that there is no information given whatsoever of whether this Peddha Kapu-1 is the first part of a duology or a trilogy or if it is even a part of a franchise, so to speak. Mickey Meyer, Srikanth Addala's frequent collaborator has composed the music of Peddha Kapu-1, with cinematography by Chota K Naidu, editing by Marthand K Venkatesh and art by GM Shekar.
