Speculations suggest that Skanda might be released on September 28

Despite no announcements regarding the release of Prashanth Neel's Salaar getting postponed indefinitely, a slew of Telugu films have gone ahead and called dibs on the September 28 release date window. Joining MAD, Rules Ranjann and Peddha Kapu-1, is Skanda, which has rescinded from its originally scheduled plans of releasing on September 15. Sources suggest that Skanda, also titled Skanda-The Attacker, might now just release on September 28.

Skanda is Ram's first collaboration with Boyapati Sreenu, who is known for his unique brand of hypermasculine, old fashioned action entertainers with strong themes of family, saviourship and retribution. Sreeleela and Saiee Manjrekar star as the female leads of Skanda, with Prince Cecil playing an important role. Sharath Lohithaswa, Daggubati Raja, Indraja and Gauthami play supporting roles in the film.

Skanda is produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi under the banner Shine Silver Screens, in association with Zee Studios. Santosh Detake is the cinematographer of the film, with editing by Tammiraju and action choreography by Stun Shiva.
