The makers of Bhagavanth Kesari announced on Saturday that their film has earned Rs 51.12 crores in the box office in the two days of its release. The film stars Balakrishna in his 108th film, along with Kajal Aggarwal, Sreeleela and Arjun Rampal. The latter is making his Telugu debut with this film.

Bhagavanth Kesari is written and directed by Anil Ravipudi. The film opened to positive reviews and decent collections at the box office. Bhagavanth Kesari was a festival release, hitting the theatres on the same day as the Vijay-starrer Leo in Tamil Nadu and the Shivarajkumar film The Ghost in Karnataka.

Bhagavanth Kesari is produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi under the banner Shine Screens Cinema. Thaman has composed the music for the film. While Thaman has also worked on Balayya's last film Akhanda, Bhagavanth Kesari marks the maiden collaboration between Anil Ravipudi and Thaman.

The film also notably features Balakrishna in an age-appropriate role, playing a foster father to Sreeleela's character. The crux of Bhagavanth Kesari's story lies in Balakrishna doing his best to ensure that Sreeleela's Vijji gets over her phobias and anxiety issues and joins the Indian Army.
