Prem Kumar, a romantic comedy which came out on August 18, will now be available for streaming on Prime Video. Starring Santosh Shoban and Rashi Singh in the lead roles, Prem Kumar revolves around the titular character who becomes a detective after multiple breakups and romantic rejections. Character actor Abhishek Maharshi has made his directorial debut with the film. He has also written the film with Anirudh Krishnamurthy. 

Prem Kumar also stars Krishna Chaitanya, Ruchitha Sadineni, Krishna Teja, Sudarshan, Ashok Kumar and Srividya. This is Santosh Shoban's fourth release of the year, after Kalyanam Kamaneeyam, Sridevi Shoban Babu and Anni Manchi Sakanumule. Prem Kumar is produced by Shiva Prasad Panneeru under the banner Sharanga Entertainments. The music of the film has been composed by S Anant Srikar, with cinematography by Rampy Nandigam and editing by Garry BH. The film opened to poor reviews, while performing dismally in the box office. The CE review of the film reads, "Prem Kumar is an interesting comedy of errors haemorrhaged by an overly dialogic screenplay."
