The first look of Yatra 2, the sequel of Yatra is out. While Yatra, which came out in 2018, was based on the life of the late YS Rajashekar Reddy, the film's sequel will be based on the life of the incumbent chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Fittingly, the first look of Yatra 2 has the pictures of Mammootty, who played YSR alongside Rangam-fame actor Jiiva, who is playing the role of Jagan. Yatra 2 will be hitting theatres on February 8, 2024. What is interesting is that Yatra 2 is releasing on the same date five years after the release of its predecessor Yatra. The sequel, set between the years of 2009-2019, is expected to delve into some crucial moments that shaped the political career of Jagan Mohan Reddy. Yatra 2 is directed by Mahi V Raghav. 

Yatra 2 is produced by Shiva Meka under the banner V Celluloid and Three Autumn Leaves. Santhosh Narayanan, who has composed the music for Dasara earlier this year, is the music director of Yatra 2. R Madhie is the cinematographer of the film, with editing by Shravan Katikaneni and production design by Selva Kumar.
