Actor Ram Pothineni to collaborate with director Puri Jagannadh for an upcoming Telugu film titled Double Ismart. The film will be produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur under the banner Puri Connects. The makers announced the news on Sunday, marking the actor's birthday. The film will hit the theatres on March 8, 2024.
Earlier, Puri Jagannadh and Ram teamed up for a film, iSmart Shankar, which was released in 2019 and backed by the same production house. The film starred an ensemble cast including Satyadev, Nabha Natesh, Nidhhi Agerwal, Sayaji Shinde, and Ashish Vidyarth, among others. The upcoming film, Double Ismart, could be a sequel to the 2019 film, and the makers have yet to reveal an official announcement.
Billed as an action entertainer, Double Ismart will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Meanwhile, Ram Pothineni was last seen 2022 film, The Warriorr, helmed by N. Lingusamy. The actor will next be seen in Boyapati Sreenu's directorial, tentatively titled BoyapatiRapo, which is slated to release on October 20.
Puri Jagannadh was last helmed, Liger starring Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role.
