Naga Chaitanya's Custody collects Rs 7.4 crore on day one

Custody, the Naga Chaitanya-starrer Tamil-Telgu bilingual, has collected Rs 7.4 crore at the box office on its first day, the makers announced on social media. The film hit the theatres on Friday.

Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film also stars Krithi Shetty, Ramki, Arvind Swamy, Priyamani, Sarathkumar, among others. The film is backed by Srinivasaa Silver Screen. Custody marks Chaitanya’s first collaboration with Venkat Prabhu and his foray into Tamil cinema. The film opened to mixed reviews.

Custody features the actor as a constable who gets involved with a gangster and has to protect him at all cost in his custody, against many forces.

The technical crew of Custody consists of SR Kathir as the cinematographer and music is scored by Ilaiyaraaja and his son Yuvan Shankar Raja. Editing is by Venkat Raajen, while Rajeevan handled the production design. Venkat Prabhu has penned the dialogues for the film in Tamil, while Abburi Ravi has penned the Telugu dialogues.
