Nani's Dasara mints Rs 38 crore on day one

Dasara, the Nani-starrer film which released on Thursday, has collected Rs 38 crore gross worldwide, the makers of the film shared.

Directed by debutant Srikanth Odela, the film also stars Keerthy Suresh, Dheekshith Shetty, Shine Tom Chacko, among others. It opened to positive reviews and became the highest day-one grosser for Nani.

The film is set in a fictional village in Telangana, Veerapali, and is a mass action drama, which features Nani, Keerthy and Dheekshith as childhood friends, who reside in the village where alcohol plays an important aspect in villagers’ lives. The film also touches upon the hierarchy that prevails in the caste-ridden society and how power dynamics stems out of it.

The post theatrical rights of Dasara is bagged by Netflix.
