Right at the centre of the raging pandemic, director Samuthirakani made a heartwarming social drama, Vinodhaya Sitham, starring Thambi Ramaiah and himself in the leads.

Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej were roped in for the Telugu remake, which is tentatively titled, PKSDT. The makers recently announced that the project will hit theatres on July 28.

Now, the latest update from team PKSDT is that Pawan Kalyan has completed filming the talkie portions of the project.

Revealing this update on social media, director Samuthirakani shared a picture of himself with Pawan Kalyan, and said, "Thank you God. We have successfully completed our talkie portion of Kalyan sir. See you all in theatres on July 28 ..VELVOM…"

Backed by Vishwa Prasad TG and Vivek Kuchibhotla's People Media Factory, in association with Zee Studios, PKSDT marks the third Telugu directorial venture of Samuthirakani. He has previously directed Shambo Shiva Shambo and Janda Pai Kapiraju, which were once again the remakes of his Tamil films Nadodigal and Nimirndhu Nil, respectively.

Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan is gearing up to begin work on Sujeeth's untitled gangster drama, and also has Hari Hara Veera Maalu, a period film directed by Krish Jagarlamudi up for release. On the other hand, Sai Dharam Tej's upcoming film Virupaksha is scheduled for an April 21 release.
