Writer, director and editor Ravikanth Perepu, who last directed the films Kshanam (2016) and Krishna and his Leela (2020), has announced his upcoming directorial, which stars debutant Roshan Kanakala in the lead role. Roshan Kanakala is the son of actor Rajeev Kanakala and television anchor Suma Kanakala. Ravikanth is also writing the film, along with Vishnu Kondur and Seri-Ganni. 

The project was announced on the birthday of Roshan. Taking to social media to share birthday wishes along with the film's first look, Ravikanth writes, "Wishing the happiest of birthdays to our Roshan Kanakala. Here's to a year of making incredible memories and achieving your dreams."The yet-to-be-titled film is produced by P Vimala.

Ravikanth's frequent collaborator Sricharan Pakala will be composing the music for the film, with Naveen Yadav and Shivam Rao providing cinematography and production design, respectively.
