Tholi Prema to re-release on June 30

Abhilasha Cherukuri

Pawan Kalyan’s Tholi Prema is the latest film to join the bandwagon of films re-releasing in theatres. Tholi Prema, written and directed by A Karunakaran, is set to return to screens on June 30.

NTR Jr’s Simhadri and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Narasimha Naidu were the last films to have had a major re-release, across the Telugu states and for diaspora audiences overseas. Pawan Kalyan’s earlier films Jalsa and Kushi have also been re-released to wide reception.

It may be noted that a chunk of these collections earned from most of these re-releases have gone to charity. Pawan Kalyan is contesting for the Chief Minister post in the 2024 Andhra Pradesh state elections and is also heavily campaigning for the same. A part of Tholi Prema’s re-release collections will go to Pawan Kalyan’s Rhythu Bharosa Yatra.

Rhythu Bharosa Yatra is a campaign where Pawan Kalyan will interact with farmers in the Sattenapally Assembly constituency of the Palnadu district in AP and distribute Rs 1 lakh each to the families of 300 farmers, who died by suicide owing to mounting debts.
