The actor writes a heartfelt note of appreciation to the Chennai-based production house

Allu Sirish has recently announced his upcoming film Buddy with a first look and glimpse video. Buddy is loosely based on the 2019 Arya starrer Teddy. Buddy and Teddy are produced by the same production house Studio Green. Allu Sirish, in a series of tweets on Thursday evening, has expressed his gratitude for being associated with Studio Green.

Referring to the first time he stumbled upon the banner's work, Sirish writes, "When I was in college, I saw a huge hoarding of Suriya sir's Sillunu Oru Kadhal on Mount Road. Chennai skyline was filled with hoardings of the film. That was the first time I noticed the banner Studio Green, the production values and the marketing campaign of that film. Over the years, KE Gnanavel Raja sir and Studio Green produced & presented some of my favourite films, including the Singam franchise, 24, Paruthiveeran, Madras, Naan Mahan Alla, Soothu Kavvum & Indru Netru Naalai. They have also introduced so many directors & technicians to Tamil cinema. It's been on my wishlist to associate with one of Tamil cinema's most prestigious banners. I am finally realising this wish with Buddy. Hope this marks the beginning of a fruitful association with me & the Studio Green family."

Buddy is directed by Sam Anton, with music composed by Hiphop Thamizha.
