Earlier, we had reported that actor Nithiin would be joining forces with director Vakkantham Vamsi for a film tentatively titled, Nithiin 32. On Sunday, the makers revealed the film's title as Extra, along with a first-look poster. The title came with a tagline, "Ordinary man". 

In the poster, Nithiin dons an intriguing avatar and is seen with thick hair and a beard with a serious look on his face, while another still in the poster shows the actor in a calm mode without the beard. The background in the poster appears to be script papers from a certain scene, with the clapboard visible in the front.

Extra marks Vakkantham Vamsi's second directorial venture after the 2018 action film Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India. However, he has previously worked as a writer in a number of Telugu films, including Kick, Yevadu, and Oosaravelli, among others. Sharing the excitement about the Extra, the filmmaker said, "This is a character-driven script. After Kick, I think this will be in that zone. It's going to be a rollercoaster ride for the audience and surprises them." These words from the writer and director raise the hype to the next level.

Extra stars, Sreeleela as the female lead, with Harris Jeyaraj composing the music. The film is bankrolled by Sudhakar Reddy and Nikitha Reddy under Sreshth Movies banner in collaboration with Aditya Movies and Entertainment & Ruchira Entertainments.
