The announcement of Rashmika Mandanna joining hands with her Bheeshma collaborators — director Venky Kudumula and actor Nithin — was the talk of the town when it was made a couple of months ago on the occasion of Ugadi. However, the latest development is that the actor has opted out of the project, which had the working title, VNR Trio.

Rashmika cited scheduling conflicts as the reason for her decision. She is currently working on Pushpa - The Rule, which will have her reprise the role of Srivall. Rashmika is also committed to star in the Tamil-Telugu bilingual Rainbow, opposite Shakuntalam-fame Dev Mohan, and two untitled Bollywood projects.

Incidentally, VNR Trio was supposed to be Rashmika's third collaboration with Venky, who launched her in Telugu with Chalo (2018).  Kudumula. Venky has previously directed Rashmika in Chalo (2018), her Telugu debut. GV Prakash Kumar is the music director of the film.

Rashmika was last seen in the Tamil-Telugu bilingual Varasudu opposite Vijay and the Netflix's Hindi film, Mission Majnu, opposite Sidharth Malhotra. She will be seen next in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal opposite Ranbir Kapoor, which will be released on December 1.
