We had earlier reported that actor Ram Pothineni is set to collaborate with director Puri Jagannadh for an upcoming Telugu film titled Double Ismart. The makers have now launched the film on Monday with a pooja ceremony with the shoot to commence from Wednesday.

The film will be produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur under the banner Puri Connects. It will hit the theatres on March 8, 2024.

Earlier, Puri Jagannadh and Ram teamed up for a film, iSmart Shankar, which was released in 2019 and backed by the same production house. The film starred an ensemble cast including Satyadev, Nabha Natesh, Nidhhi Agerwal, Sayaji Shinde, and Ashish Vidyarth, among others. The upcoming film, Double Ismart, will be a sequel to the 2019 film.

Billed as an action entertainer, Double Ismart will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
